College Basketball is officially here

While T-giving day (and weekend) is certainly known as a football weekend, which I love, it also signals the real start of CBB season for me - I love all of the action in the early season tournaments. Both as a fan, and as investment opportunities. Although I've only been able to post 1 game due to my real job and the timing of the lines, Chicago Kid is off to a solid 4-1 start. There are several intriguing games tonight, but I think the only game I'll be involved in is Duke -10 vs ASU @ MSG. I really dislike basketball spreads of 6-11 points since they are usually meaningless to the outcome of the game, but this game is an exception as I expect Duke to overwhelm the Sun Devils. As usual, Duke has many good player, several of which are very experienced and have been playing together for several years now; that always helps early in the season. Duke also loves MSG. ASU is a solid team, but certainly still trying to find themselves after losing Hardin, who basically did everything for them the last 2 years and this is their first game against a 'real' team; and I expect it to be a wake-up call. Duke rarely gets beaten at their own game, when they do lose, it is usually because they are playing against a more talented group (Coach K getting out-coached, I don't think so) - that is not the case here. I expect Duke to roll and thus don't mind laying the 10 points.

Check back tomorrow morning the Chicago Kid's week 13 CFB picks as well.
