Alright, a little short on time (and late) so let's just get to the picks for this week.
Arkansas +2 @ Georgia. Razorbacks has had trouble winning big ones in recent years, but I think they get over the hump this year. Really think they want a big game versus Bama next week and have to win this week to get there. Not usually going to live well taking SEC teams on the road, but I think this is an exception and Mallett gets it done. 2 units.
USC -12 @ Minnesota. Yeah, USC is down, but Minnie is just plain terrible. Weather should not yet be an issue so I think the Trojans regain a little form and just drill the Gophers here, even on the road. Since I'm not sold on USC I can't be too confident with this one, but like USC. 1.5 units.
Iowa +1 @Arizona. Iowa plays right, and Arizona is good, but I think Iowa is really focused this year (and talented) and I think they go on the road and get the win. Iowa is a veteran team and should not be overly rattled by a night game on the road. Zona will be fired up and so will the crowd so they may hang around, but in the end I'm not sure they have enough. 3 units.
Nebraska -3 @ Washington. Yeah, I'm not giving a lot of weight to home field advantage this week, but I think the Huskers are just too deep and talented for Washington. Locker is no doubt good and will do damage, but I don't think Washington has enough weapons and I'm not sure they will be able to stop Nebraska. Nebraska failed me last week by not protecting the ball and/or caring late in the game up huge, but different story this week. 3 units.
Texas -3 @ Texas Tech. Texas may not have found it's full stride yet, but have a ton of talent all over the field and sometimes I like this situation because it will not be hard for Mack to get the kids motivated (not as much press telling them how good they are). Winning in Lubbock is tough and they will be ready, but as Joker pointed out, Raiders just don't have the weapons (i.e. Crabtree) to hang with the Horns. 2 units.
Sorry for the late post, but hopefully the picks will be worth it. Need a spurt to make up for the rough start. Good luck!!
